Days and times vary.  Watch the church newsletter to find currently scheduled meetings.  Advent studies and Lenten studies have been done.   • Women of the Church: Rolling Hills offers lively circles who meet regularly at Rolling Hills.

  • Writing in the Spirit: an informal writing group (not your great American novelists!) meets the first and third Wednesday of the month at noon at Rolling Hills. (Bring your lunch!) Interested? Contact Carole Carter
    Our latest writing assigment was a collection of life lessons inspired by Rev. Ted's Summer Sermon Series. To read through a summary of our congregations lessons, click here.
     

  • Card Making: this group creates handmade cards for members of our congregation and meets every other month on the last Monday and Tuesday of that month from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact Vickie Menke for more information.
     

 

BOOK CLUB

Two book clubs meet at Rolling Hills Church. Members take turns leading the discussions. Anyone who is interested may join either group.

  • The Tuesday Morning Book Club meets on the 1 st Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am at the church. For more information, contact Leslie Thomson at 913-383-3921.

  • The Thursday Afternoon Book Club meets on the 2 nd Thursday each month, at 1:00pm at the church. For more information, contact Penny Acuff at 913-649-6756.

 

SPECIAL INTEREST / HOBBIES

  • Garden Angels – work to maintain our beautiful church garden every Friday morning from mid-March through mid-October.

  • Dirt Devils – harvest our church garden located in the “back 40”.

  • Green Team – helps make Rolling Hills a more environmentally friendly church, through education and recycling.

ADULT EDUCATION

  • The Gospel Y3K class meets on Monday evenings via Zoom. Classes focus on various studies related to scripture and the church and often begin with a video presentation. New members are always welcome. For more information contact Mic Morris at micmorris@sbcglobal.net or 913-381-4616.

  • The Wired Word adult class meets Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 11:15a.m in rooms A and B. Each week a story from the news is discussed through scripture references.   • Racial Injustice: Toward a Better Understanding. This group gathers monthly or as announced to learn, explore, and act on systemic issues related to racism. The group discussions are dynamic, informative, and interesting. In addition to the discussions, there are field trips, You Tube/TED talks, and book studies. Meetings are third Wednesday of each month, 3:00 p.m. at the church. This group is open to and encourages others to join at any time.
